New York-based guitarist Joel Harrison is one of modern music’s most
versatile voices. He has released a number of recordings that are not
only hard to categorize, but are very different from one another in
terms of ensemble and vision. His latest vocal CD, “Passing Train,”
can be described as pop/world/Americana music, though such labels are
merely starting points. Joel has reached a place where jazz, pop, and
world music are so intertwined it becomes complete integration. He
will be joined on this tour with incendiary violinist Christian Howes,
who has lit the Dakota stage up before with his own groups.
