The Butanes are formidable bluesmen in their own right, winning City Pages Best Blues Band award 5 of the last 7 years. The list of nationally acclaimed artists the band has backed up is long and varied. But they never sound finer than when they are with Walker, as is evidenced on Walker’s other two recordings. This is a show that just doesn’t happen often enough.
