Dakota Foundation Piano Competition
The Dakota Foundation for Jazz Education and the Schubert Club present the Fifth annual Student Jazz Piano Competition, from 2:00 to 4:00 on Sunday May 17. The competition is open to students in grades 9-12, and $2000 in scholarship money will be awarded.
Three finalists will have already been chosen by this Sunday, and each will be awarded a $500 scholarship prize. After performing Sunday afternoon in front of an audience and three guest judges (including international jazz piano star Marcus Roberts), one of them will receive an additional $500 award.
