John Raymond Project
Young trumpeter John Raymond is well on his way to becoming a major force in the music industry. Having recently received a Bachelor’s degree in Trumpet Performance at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, John is active as a performer, composer, arranger and educator in the Twin Cities area. He is the primary arranger for the Twin Cities Horns, who have recorded and performed with Ann Nesby, Desdamona, Nachito Herrera, and many more regional artists. John recently took fourth place in the jazz category of the 2008 National Trumpet Competition. John will be leaving us at the end of summer to attend graduate school in New York.
Tonight, John presents his original music in a traditional jazz setting, with some standards thrown in as well. This is a great time to hear this rising young star.
