Toby Lightman’s new release “Know Where I’m From” is made up of acoustic versions of many of her hit songs such as “Devils and Angels”, Slippin” and “Front Row”. This record follows Toby’s first independently released album, “Let Go” on her own T Killa Records. She has also had two Atlantic Records releases, 2004’s “Little Things” and 2006’s “Bird On A Wire”. She’s toured the country extensively, having appeared with such artists such as Rob Thomas, Jewel, James Blunt, Gavin DeGraw, Train, Marc Cohn, and on one memorable evening, Prince.
Toby was seen every week singing the opening theme song for NASCAR on Fox broadcasts and her title track “Let Go” was heard during the extensive Home Shopping Network TV/Radio campaign as well as ABC’s Brothers & Sisters and Dirty Sexy Money. One of Toby’s newest songs, “Colors”, part of the Hard Rock Café compilation SERVE3, was featured in an issue of People Magazine as the HOT DOWNLOAD of the week. She has currently gotten licenses in such movies as PS I LOVE YOU, 17 AGAIN, and THE FACTORY due out next year. Toby is scheduled to release “Know Where I’m From” and tour extensively in June 2010, including performing with the Lilith Fair.
