L.P. Music blends the funk and jazz roots of Leeds and Peterson, and allows these true musicians a platform to express themselves.  Just a groove and a key…the rest is up to the imagination of L.P. and their stellar cast of special guests. Usually accompanied by an additional keyboard player, and a drummer or two, these musicians converse with each other, and the interaction is an incredible sight to be seen.

Since exploding onto the scene in 2005, Davina and the Vagabonds have grown from a down-and-dirty blues band into one of the most exciting acoustic ensembles on the international stage. This high-energy quintet has established itself with a stellar live show, a professional look, and good old-fashioned hard work. They used to average over 300 shows a year in the Mpls/St. Paul area, and now have an ambitious full-time U.S. and international schedule. In recent years they have performed in 41 states, 2 Canadian provinces and 10 European countries.

Garland Jeffreys has been making provocative, personally charged urban rock and roll since the late 1960s. He started out in Greenwich Village performing highly respected songs that reflected on life as a multi-racial man in America. ‘14 Steps To Harlem,’ the third album in six years by this ‘beloved rock-soul-reggae singer-songwriter’ (New York Times) is set to release April 28 on his own label Luna Park Records.

LANDAULANDAU EUGENE MURPHY, JR.
September 14 | 7pm

Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. truly has a rags-to-riches story. At the time he auditioned for America’s Got Talent, he was washing cars for a living in his hometown of Logan, West Virginia. The only nice clothes he owned were the ones on his back: a pair of jeans, a modest button-down shirt, and a jacket. Fortunately, you don’t need a slick wardrobe to win America’s heart; you need talent and personality, and Murphy has a great deal of both. Wowing the judges with his story of homelessness and determination—not to mention his stellar interpretations of classics from Cole Porter, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and others—Murphy walked away with the million dollar grand prize in front of 14 million viewers. According to show insiders, Murphy won America’s Got Talent by the biggest vote total in the first six seasons of the show.
