Easter Brunch at the Dakota!

Brunch: the most sacred of meals.

Traditionally, the Dakota has hosted two brunches per spring: one on Easter with music from Twin Cities Hot Club and one on Mother’s Day with music from the Southside Aces. This year, the tradition continues. Join us on April 1st for a New Orleans-infused musical experience dedicated to celebrating family, warm weather, and the righteous joy of eating breakfast after 10am.

You might know Twin Cities Hot Club from their recurring performances at our sister venue, Vieux Carré. For almost 15 years, the Club has played an important role in bringing the revival of gypsy jazz from its French roots all the way to Minnesota. Their performances are a consistent joy, a lively and engrossing antidote to the last dregs of winter and the perfect accompaniment for our Easter brunch.

Speaking of which, Chef Derik has prepared a special menu for the occasion. If you are looking for something hearty, the always-popular Steak Frites might be calling your name. For the anglophiles we are also offering our take on an English Breakfast complete with pit beans, fried eggs, sausage, roasted tomato, and corn bread. Those looking for lighter fare might consider our Steel Cut Oats or, for the adventurous eater, the Bananas Foster Pain Perdu. Additionally, guests can choose from a variety of house-made pastries and desserts.

Stay tuned for more information on our Mother’s Day brunch in May, and in the meantime take this opportunity to reserve a table for Easter morning! There are a million ways to celebrate the arrival of spring, but this might just be the best one.
