Lauded for ‘…stark, literate songs that are as wide open as the landscape of his native Midwest.’ (The New Yorker) and described as ‘Quietly Brilliant’ (The Irish Times), Jeffrey Foucault has released four collections of original songs under his own name, and two full-band collaborations with contemporary poet Lisa Olstein under the moniker Cold Satellite. His songs, ‘Beat-up troubadour folk, whittled to dolorous perfection’ (Uncut), mine the darker seams of American music to distill a terse amalgam of blues, country, rock ’n’ roll, and folk.

The Bacon Brothers

Most people would agree that there’s nothing stronger, more durable and occasionally, even more volatile, than the bond between brothers. And when that bond includes the common goal of making music, the results often offer reason for an audience to sit up and take notice. There have been any number of examples in music’s modern era — the Everly Brothers, the Beach Boys, the Kinks and Oasis to name but a few. Not that it’s easy or even agreeable, but there is common cause, and that’s generally enough to ensure there’s passion and purpose in its creation.

Karrin Allyson

Heart, intelligence, warmth — an emotional range from bittersweet to sassy —you hear it every time you listen. Make no mistake — Karrin Allyson is singing to you.
