Singer-Songwriter Andriana Lehr carries song in her spirit, and has been dabbling in music from an early age. Growing up in South Dakota, she performed regularly throughout her youth singing and playing piano, guitar, and viola, pleasing local crowds at weddings and community events either solo or with three orchestra mates in a string quartet.
After relocating to Minneapolis, MN in 2004 in pursuit of a richer music community, Andriana enrolled as a vocal performance major at the University of Minnesota. As a moonlighter she built an extensive professional network under the umbrella of Clear Channel Communications and local promoter, Mr. Chan Presents, tearing tickets and errand running in and around venues like The Fine Line Music Cafe, The Triple Rock Social Club, and the Varsity Theater. Through these venues she met drummer David Goodstein (Ricky Martin, Jerry Riopelle, Ivan Neville, Jackson Browne) and Jason Hiller, the team that would help her make some of her first recordings.
Lehr has always been a natural performer, and she takes every opportunity to showcase her original material. By seamlessly weaving together just the right amount of her classical vibrato, headstrong affinity for female alt-queens, and a Graceland-style twang, she has finally found the recipe to her success. And like fellow South Dakotan Shawn Colvin, her music is straight from the heart: honest and forthright.
