Israeli Superstar Troubadour
Israeli superstar David Broza is one of the most vibrant and engaging artists on the worldwide singer-songwriter scene. He has released over two dozen albums in three different languages, several of which have gone platinum. His 1983 album The Woman By My Side went 5X platinum in Israel, and remains one of the top-selling Hebrew language records ever. Broza has been called “the post-modern Leonard Cohen” and has opened concerts for Sting.
Broza is truly a force of nature, fusing the three countries where he was raised – Israel, Spain and England, into music that ranges from flamenco-flavored rhythmic and percussion techniques – to whirlwind finger picking – to a signature rock and roll sound. His troubadour tradition of featuring the lyrics of the world’s greatest poets adds a dynamic depth and intimacy into his performances.
