Intimate Standard Jazz
Rose Room plays music from an era when ‘rock and roll’ only meant getting lucky. Singer-songwriter Adam Levy (The Honeydogs,And The Professors, Bunny Clogs)has brought together diverse instrumentalists and singers (Ashleigh Still –vocals, Ben Kelly–bass, Jon Davis–bass clarinet, joe savage–pedal steel guitar, vocals, Alex Young–drums, Jason Craft–piano) for an inspired septet take on mid-20th Century traditions like the American Songbook, Bebop, Western Swing, bossa nova, Latin soul, and lounge music.”
Order an old school cocktail, dress swanky and enjoy a trip to a voluptuous era before “rock and-roll” meant anything more than getting lucky.
Rose Room gets its name from Benny Goodman’s 1939 swing hit. The ensemble plays golden age jazz from 1900 to the mid 20th Century.
