The Twin Cities Jazz Society has served the Metro and outstate area for three decades with concerts, school clinics and performances, student scholarships, monthly Jazz Notes, and much more. Come celebrate their 30th Anniversary and help them pay tribute to those who have shared their love of jazz with the Twin Cities, and help them launch into the next decade of supporting all types of jazz for all ages.
The party will be hosted by jazz broadcaster MaryAnn Sullivan, with a special appearance by the legendary media presence Leigh Kamman. Yolande Bruce will sing a special tribute to her mother, the late Roberta Davis, who performed at the TCJS inaugural event.
Holding down the bandstand tonight will be the Mary Louise Knutson Quartet, with Knutson on piano, Doug Haining on saxophones, Graydon Peterson on bass and Jay Epstein on drums. Also scheduled to perform this evening are Kelly Rossum, Dave Karr, Arne Fogel, Lee Engele, Charmin Michelle, Judy Donaghy, Maud Hixson, Dorothy Doring, Vicky Mountain, Lucia Newell, Christine Rosholt and many more.
