Join us Thursday, June 20th at noon for a one hour Wine-Artist Lunch with friends, Dominic Giuliani, representing Sella & Mosca Wines from Sardinia, and celebrated singer and Grammy and Tony award winner Dee Dee Bridgewater.

In Italy and elsewhere in Europe, wine connoisseurs and industry professionals rate Sella & Mosca among Italy’s most outstanding wine estates. Sella & Mosca’s I Piani estate in Sardinia constitutes one of the largest contiguous vineyards in Italy and counts itself among the country’s most impressive wineries. Situated in the northwest corner of Sardinia, just inland from the pretty, historic port of Alghero, this 1,600-acre property with more than 1,200 acres of vines is one of the largest wine estates in Europe.

As Sardinia’s foremost wine producer, Sella & Mosca is renowned for premium wines made exclusively from estate-grown grapes. In addition to native varieties such as Vermentino, Torbato and Cannonau, the winery has successfully pioneered the introduction of international grape varieties, notably Cabernet Sauvignon. We will be tasting the La Cala Vermentino, the Cannonau and the Terrerrare during our one hour lunch.

Dee Dee Bridgewater has been one of the most celebrated vocalists in jazz for over four decades, and her role as ambassador of jazz to the world is growing. Winner of two Grammy awards and a Tony (for her role on Broadway in “The Wiz”), Bridgewater has been involved in an incredible breadth of projects. She broke into the New York scene in the early 1970s as the vocalist with the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra, one of the hottest tickets in town. Her early years in New York saw her working with Sonny Rollins, Stanley Clarke, Dizzy Gillespie and other heavyweights.

This will be a relaxed hour where a world-class singer along with world-renowned wines and cuisine come together in Dakota fashion. The lunch begins with some time to chat with our guests of honor while enjoying your first course of canapés and a glass of Vermentino. Seated lunch follows with two courses made to pair with the Sella & Mosca wine selections. Pairing notes from Dominic Guiliani and our Chefs round out the experience. Truffles and coffee will be served at the conclusion of lunch to add a spring to your step and get you energized to finish your day. In addition, each guest will receive an autographed CD from Dee Dee Bridgewater.
