Molly Maher and Eric Koskinen open!
Jeff Daniels has been postponed, and the new show date is yet to be determined. Current ticket holders will be welcomed to the rescheduled date AND are invited to come to the Dakota to hear Will Kimbrough and Brigitte DeMeyer for no charge on August 25.
Daniels normally does not appear with other acts, but he was such a fan of Kimbrough and DeMeyer, he was happy to invite them as support. For those with no ticket to Jeff Daniels, the ticket will be $15. This is an opportunity for a unique show with Americana singer songwriters Will Kimbrough and Brigitte DeMeyer.
About Will Kimbrough with Brigitte DeMeyer
Award-winning singer/songwriter Will Kimbrough has established an impressive career from years of non-stop touring and a constant desire to expand his skill set. Although the Alabama-native began his career with an influence from New Orleans jazz, Kimbrough has come to reach nearly all corners of music, having explored the blues, folk, country, and rock. As the founder of DADDY, Will and the Bushman, and The Bis-Quits, Will has performed and recorded with countless legends including Rosanne Cash, Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, John Prine, and frequent collaborator Todd Snider. Kimbrough is coming off the release of his fifth solo album, Slideshow Love. PopMatters said of the album, “the dozen tracks here vary in musical style and reveal a playful and inspired creativity on every cut.”
Singer/songwriter Brigitte DeMeyer recently released her sixth album, Savannah Road earlier this year. Many of the songs on the album were co-written with Kimbrough. The Telegraph calls it “soulful Americana of a very high standard.”
