About Josh Rouse
Intelligent, intimate, honest & sensual. Josh’s easy flowing melodies, coaxed along by his cherubic rasp, are as natural as each breath and equally as important. Josh Rouse’s roots exist from life in Nebraska, Nashville, New York and now Spain.
This Midwestern native has been crafting atmospheric folk-pop for over 10 years. His music fits comfortably in the context of countless TV shows and movies, and recent records have found him absorbing the sound and culture of his new home in Spain. Josh’s latest recording, The Happiness Waltz, was released Spring 2013.
Field Report is the creation of Chris Porterfield, who cut his musical teeth with DeYarmond Edison (the other members of which were Justin Vernon/Bon Iver and Megafaun). After that band broke up, Porterfield started work on a solo record, which took him nearly five years to create. The result is a haunting set of songs that’s crafty, lyrical, and poignant.
