Truly one of the greatest records of its time, Back to Black almost perfectly captures the soul and wit of the extraordinary singer-songwriter, Amy Winehouse. Juxtaposing coloquial-ridden lyrics with the retro sound of Black American soul music, the London born singer left an impact and legacy that will not readily be shaken.

In the 12 years since its release, Back to Black and Ms Winehouse have inspired musicians and music lovers around the world, singer-songwriter Mina Moore not excluded. The idea to perform the record in its entirety from start to finish came to a reality shortly after Moore performed with Sean Tillmann (Har Mar Superstar) as part of his tribute to soul legend Sam Cooke. “I had been dreaming of performing Back to Black with a big, full band for over a year, “ says Moore. “In between sets at the Dakota with Har Mar, I noticed a cocktail on the menu called ‘Amy Winehouse.’ I gave the universe a wink, and we booked the show.”
Joining her in the celebration will be members of Bon Iver, Sonny Knight and The Lakers, Nooky Jones, Courageous Endeavors, and more.

About Mina Moore

Mina Moore is a singer-songwriter from Minneapolis. Her music draws from that of her upbringing, leaning heavily on soul, R&B, and inevitably, pop. Like so many of us, Mina’s pallet is ever growing, and her live performances aim to educate as much as entertain. Mina and her band have performed with both national and international acts including Morris Day & The Time, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Hiatus Kaiyote.
