Tribute
to Ray Brown
with Christian McBride, Benny Green & Greg
Hutchinson |
Pianist
Benny Green, displaying flashes of his
mentor Oscar Peterson, played piano for a year in the Ray
Brown Trio while Greg Hutchinson held the drum chair. There
are only two bass players in the world who would be appropriate
to to play bass with Benny and Greg in a tribute to the
legendary Mr. Brown, and Christian is at the top of that
short list. He is the premier bassist on the today’s
jazz and pop scene. “ Perhaps the most exciting jazz
bass player since Ray Brown.”
