The Gamma Xi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. invites you to “an evening of hot jazz and cool R&B music” in celebration of its seventy-five years of distinguished service to Minnesota. Local musical luminaries and Dakota Club favorites Ginger Commodore, Thomasina Petrus, T. Mychael Rambo and Sanford Moore pay tributes to jazz legends Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington and others from the 1940s. The evening culminates with MPLS, a popular R&B local band, taking attendees on a musical journey of popular contemporary music.
