SUMMARY:VIP Event: Orianthi
DESCRIPTION:Invitation to pre-show experience with Orianthi\, including:  \n\nOfficial VIP laminate\nPhoto opportunity with Orianthi \nUp to 2 personal items signed\n\nIMPORTANT: This is not a ticket to the show. \nYou must have a concert ticket in order to purchase this VIP Meet & Greet.  \nCheck-in Time: Please arrive at the venue by 4:30PM. \nAfter check-in\, you’ll be escorted to the VIP area for the meet & greet\, which takes place before doors open at 5:30 PM. \n\n“effortless shredder… special and transcendent” – Blues Rock Review\n  \nOrianthi (Orianthi Panagaris) looks as much like a rock star as she does a supermodel. But it’s her extraordinary guitar chops that turn the most heads. She began playing professionally when she was thirteen years old. Since then\, she has performed and/or toured with Carlos Santana\, Steve Vai\, Alice Cooper\, Richie Sambora and Dave Stewart. Furthermore\, she was hired by Michael Jackson for his “This Is It Tour” before his untimely death. Orianthi was a member of the supergroup Hollywood Vampires (Cooper\, Joe Perry\, Johnny Depp and Tommy Henriksen). \nOrianthi’s debut album\, Violet Journey\, was released in 2005 and she has issued five solo albums to date. She was featured accompanying Carrie Underwood during a Grammy Awards telecast\, and performed on American Idol. Also\, she appears in Michael Jackson’s documentary concert film\, This Is It. Elle magazine named Orianthi one of the 12 Greatest Female Electric Guitarists. Additionally\, she won the 2010 Breakthrough Guitarist of the Year award from Guitar International magazine. \nShe released her latest recording\, Some Kind of Feeling\, in June 2025. The first single\, “First Time Blues\,” features Joe Bonamassa on guitar. Here\, she burns up the tune with her impassioned vocals and blazing guitar licks. She and Bonamassa have played together often\, but this marks their first recording together.  \nOrianthi explains: “‘First Time Blues’ is about that feeling of when you first feel brokenhearted. It doesn’t change throughout life if you really have the strength to love and be all-in every time. I’m guilty of that… throwing myself into the fire just to get burned\, heal\, then get burned again…or not. You never know. Love is a gamble!” \nRecommended for fans of Joe Bonamassa\, Ana Popovic\, Bernard Allison and Nita Strauss.

SUMMARY:Davina and The Vagabonds
DESCRIPTION:“Davina and the Vagabonds combat heartache with sugar and sass.” – Downbeat\n  \nDavina Sowers and the Vagabonds have created a stir on the national music scene. Their high-energy live shows feature level-A musicianship\, sharp-dressed professionalism and Sowers’ commanding stage presence. Also\, their influences range from Fats Domino and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band to Aretha Franklin and Tom Waits. Moreover\, the band is converting audiences one show at a time\, from Vancouver to Miami and across Europe. \nMuch like the music\, the story spurns era\, expectation and classification. The often unbelievable\, sometimes harrowing\, and wholly inspiring journey of Davina Sowers gave birth to her eponymous band in 2004. As the tale goes\, she grew up in the economically depressed Allegheny town of Altoona\, PA. She now describes the town as “awesome in the industrial era\, but horrible for high school.” Then\, she was adopted by her stepfather when he was in his 80s; he passed when she was just 13. Through him and his Edison phonograph\, she first heard the music that would start her journey. For example\, The Ink Spots\, Sidney Bechet\, Louis Armstrong\, Louis Prima\, Sister Rosetta Tharpe and many others. “Great man. He was my angel and still is\,” she says. \nOn her own\, she vividly recalls hours in front of the record player at home. There\, she religiously spun Led Zeppelin\, Black Sabbath and Simon and Garfunkel records belonging to her folk singer mom. \nTo this day\, Davina still refers to music as “my first and eternal love.” Despite early dalliances with classical piano and guitar\, she developed a heavy drug habit in high school. Further\, this morphed into heroin dependency\, left her homeless\, sent her in and out of jail and brought on all manner of trouble. Kicking dope on the streets\, she “got clean\, started the band and worked [her] ass off every day since.” \nRecommended for fans of Pokey LaFarge\, Preservation Hall Jazz Band\, The Hot Sardines and Squirrel Nut Zippers.

SUMMARY:Toronzo Cannon
DESCRIPTION:“exceptionally gifted… man\, he can play” – Blues Blast\n  \n“I want my songs to be heard and experienced\, not just listened to\,” says cliché-defying\, internationally beloved Chicago bluesman Toronzo Cannon. Cannon is on the cutting edge of today’s contemporary blues scene. Further\, critics hail him as one of the genre’s most creative artists. Fans love him for his richly detailed\, truth-telling original songs\, blistering\, inventive guitar work and impassioned vocals.  \nHere\, his heroes inspire his sound. For example\, Hound Dog Taylor\, Muddy Waters\, Elmore James\, Albert King\, Son Seals and Jimi Hendrix. Moreover\, on his latest release\, 2024’s Shut Up And Play!\, Cannon blazes his own path with eleven emotionally charged originals. Thus\, his powerful\, cathartic guitar solos and his soulfully authoritative voice fuel his imaginative songs. \nShut Up And Play! features Cannon\, a former Chicago bus driver\, delivering timeless stories of common experiences. Further\, his lyrics are set ablaze by his passionate and focused guitar playing. Here\, Cannon sings of the heartbreak of lost love\, the humor of daily life\, and the pain of feeling invisible. Chicago’s New City declared\, “Toronzo Cannon spins the innate human capacity of misery and regret into a kind of furious ecstasy.” \n“I write what I know\, what I feel\,” Cannon says. “Listen to the lyrics. I am a Black man in America. These are NOT protest songs. I try to create honest\, common sense understanding with my songs.” \nCannon has earned ten Blues Music Award nominations. Further\, as his fan base expands\, so do his friendships with famous musicians. Gary Clark\, Jr. declared\, “Toronzo is a beast. He lights the room up.” Also\, Joe Bonamassa rightly pronounced\, “Toronzo’s a great guitar player\, excellent vocalist and an amazing personality.” \nRecommended for fans of Lonnie Brooks\, Walter Trout\, Bernard Allison and Corey Stevens.

SUMMARY:Keb' Mo'
DESCRIPTION:“soul and passion… consistent good vibes” – American Songwriter\n  \nIt’s a little over 2\,000 miles from Compton to Nashville. Drop the needle on Keb’ Mo’s latest album\, 2022’s Good To Be\, and you can make the trip in under four minutes. \n“I’ve lived in Nashville for the last eleven years\,” says Keb’\, “but Compton has always been my home. Finding a way to connect those two places on this album was a powerful thing for me. It felt like something I needed to do.” \nGood To Be is a celebration of roots and resilience\, of growth and gratitude\, of hope and memory. Here\, the songs draw on country\, soul\, and blues to forge a sound that transcends genre and geography. Then\, he weaves together past and present into a heartwarming tapestry spanning more than forty years of sonic evolution. Though Keb’ worked with a wide variety of collaborators on the project\, it remains a deeply cohesive work. Additionally\, it is anchored by the five-time Grammy winner’s magnetic vocal delivery and relentless optimism.  \n“I believe that music has the power to heal\,” Keb’ explains\, “and I wanted this album to make people feel good.” \nFor Keb’ Mo’\, that journey began nearly half a century ago. Then\, he landed his first major gig in Papa John Creach’s band at the age of twenty-one. Over the next twenty years\, Keb’ would go on to establish himself as a respected guitarist\, songwriter\, and arranger. Though he recorded a one-off album in 1980 under his birth name\, Kevin Moore\, it wasn’t until 1994 that he would introduce the world to Keb’ Mo’ with the release of his widely acclaimed self-titled debut. Critics quickly took note of Keb’s modern\, genre-bending take on old school sounds. \nRecommended for fans of Taj Mahal\, Robert Cray\, Tab Benoit and Ruthie Foster.

SUMMARY:Scottie Miller Trio
DESCRIPTION:“A deeply soulful musician with a fearless mind and the heart of a hopeless romantic.” – WWOZ\, New Orleans\n  \nw/Dan Carpel\, bass & Greg Schutte\, drums \nSinger-songwriter-pianist Scottie Miller has toured with Rock & Roll Hall of Fame legend Bo Diddley. Also\, Hal Leonard has published his work\, and inducted three times into The Minnesota Blues Hall of Fame. Ruthie Foster and The Blind Boys of Alabama have recorded his songs. \nBluebird Reviews named Miller Artist of the Year in 2023. This was in recognition of his outstanding poetry book and album Carnival Cocoon. He collaborated with Ruthie Foster on her latest album\, 2023’s Healing Time. This led to him gracing the red carpet at the 2024 Grammy Awards\, where that album garnered a nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album. (Scottie contributed to the title track and other songs on the album.) Furthermore\, the same album received nominations at the 2024 Blues Music Awards. There\, Scottie\, Hadden Sayers and Ruthie won the Song of the Year award for “What Kind of Fool.”  \nBorn in Minneapolis\, Scottie Miller began piano lessons at age six. This became the start of a long and vibrant career in music and the arts. * At its core\, his music is rooted in the vulnerability of the singer-songwriter tradition: raw lyrics\, expressive vocals\, and melodies that resonate long after the last note. But what sets Scottie apart is the way these intimate songs expand into something cinematic — incorporating string arrangements\, ambient atmospheres\, acoustic bass\, guitar\, and dynamic drums\, all carefully woven into a cohesive\, immersive experience. \nFrom a lifetime spent on the road\, on the stage and in the recording studio\, his lyrics convey a cathartic approach to writing. “If you can tell me how you do it\, maybe I can find a better way to cope.” \nRecommended for fans of Mose Allison\, Ruthie Foster\, Eric Bibb and Dr. John.

SUMMARY:Walter Trout
DESCRIPTION:“emotionally charged… blistering blues-rock” – Blues Rock Review\n  \nAll of us are broken. However\, no one is beyond repair. It’s a philosophy that Walter Trout has lived by during seven volatile decades at the heart of America’s blues-rock scene. The fabled bluesman’s latest album\, 2024’s Broken\, chronicles the bitter schisms of modern life but refuses to succumb to them. \nFor the last half-century\, no matter how rocky his path\, hope always lights the way. The beats of Trout’s unbelievable story are well-known: the traumatic childhood in Ocean City\, New Jersey. The audacious West Coast move in ’74\, and auspicious\, chaotic sideman shifts with John Lee Hooker and Big Mama Thornton. The raging addictions that somehow never stopped the boogie when he was with Canned Heat in the early-’80s. \nEven now\, some will point to Trout’s mid-’80s guitar pyrotechnics with John Mayall’s legendary Bluesbreakers as his career high point. But for far more fans\, the blood\, heart and soul of his solo career since 1989 is the main event. \nIt’s a peerless creative streak underlined by the guitarist’s regular triumphs at awards ceremonies. Trout is a perennial visitor to the Blues Music Awards\, SENA European Guitar Awards\, British Blues Awards\, and Blues Blast Music Awards. The iconic British DJ ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris spoke for millions when he mentioned Trout by name. He declared Trout “the world’s greatest rock guitarist” in his 2001 autobiography The Whispering Years.   \nTrout could mark time and dine out on those past glories if he were a less questing artist. He could relax and leave the polemics and calls-to-arms to a younger generation. But that’s not enough\, considers the still-hungry veteran. As the pandemic burnt out\, Trout got back to business. In short\, the career-long cycle of writing\, touring and resting is still as natural to him as breathing. \nRecommended for fans of Joe Bonamassa\, Kenny Wayne Shepherd\, Sonny Landreth and Eric Gales.

SUMMARY:Ruthie Foster
DESCRIPTION:  \nRuthie Foster‘s musical journey is as eclectic and vibrant as her soulful voice. She was born into a family steeped in gospel tradition. There\, Ruthie’s earliest influences were the voices of her mother\, grandmother\, and the gospel singers she grew up listening to. For example\, artists like the Gospel Keynotes and the Blind Boys of Alabama. However\, her path to becoming a solo artist wasn’t a straightforward one. Despite a deep love for music\, Ruthie initially shied away from the spotlight. She chose to play guitar\, piano\, and write songs for others. \nGrowing up in the rich musical tapestry of Gause\, Texas\, Ruthie found herself drawn to the diverse sounds and arrangements of local gospel choirs and musicians. Despite her reluctance to take center stage\, Ruthie’s talent was undeniable. Thus\, her mother encouraged her to step up and sing out. She stood out as a young black girl with a guitar in a choir scene dominated by pianos. But\, with her grandmother’s vocal coaching and encouragement from her mother and the church community\, she recognized her own power. Her powers as a songwriter\, a musician\, and as a captivating singer were revealed. \nNow\, Ruthie Foster stands as a testament to the power of authenticity and resilience in music. Moreover\, she has five Grammy nominations to her name and a new album\, 2024’s Mileage\, was released on Sun Records. Her soulful melodies\, heartfelt lyrics\, and unwavering commitment to her craft inspire audiences and fellow musicians alike. SUMMARY:Carolyn Wonderland
DESCRIPTION:  \nCarolyn Wonderland has more than earned her reputation as a fiercely independent artist. Fans love her for her dynamic guitar playing\, formidable songwriting\, and pure Texas vocals. Wonderland plays original\, bluesified\, cosmic soul music\, mixed with heavy doses of Tex-Mex and riff-fueled rock ‘n’ roll. Moreover\, she has been performing professionally since age fifteen and has led a colorful and adventurous life. She has spent her entire career on the road\, playing with icons from Townes Van Zandt to Levon Helm. Also\, she’s worked with Buddy Guy\, Hubert Sumlin\, Bob Dylan and John Mayall\, all while writing her own story. \nOn her new album\, 2025’s Truth Is\, Wonderland reflects on the world with honesty and righteous conviction. Here\, she does this with vividly detailed\, instantly memorable songs. Wonderland’s bold and insightful songs tell common-sense truths that\, in her words\, “need to be told.” They are driven by her sometimes savage\, sometimes gently melodic guitar fingerpicking\, along with her full-throated yet still vulnerable vocals. Also\, Wonderland explains the album’s brutally honest subject matter. “There’s always hope and we’re still here for each other\, but at some point\, you have to sing about the elephant in the room.” \nTruth Is is a timeless album for these times. Over the course of the album’s twelve songs\, Wonderland and her band create lasting musical magic. Wonderland stakes her claim among the most influential roots music voices today. Further\, her courageously empowering music packs an emotional wallop. Here\, every track on the album radiates a rare intensity that is welcoming and ultimately uplifting. “She’s something else\,” Bob Dylan once told Ray Benson. “She should be nationwide.” \nRecommended for fans of Marcia Ball\, Aaron Neville\, Susan Tedeschi and Delbert McClinton. \n\n \n📸: Mary Bruton
