Mychael is ready to take to the Dakota stage under the musical direction of the award-winning Adi Yeshaya. Also\, six of the Twin Cities’ finest musicians will play selections from his highly touted recording\, 2004’s Simply. \nThis evening will also offer Dakota patrons the opportunity to participate in the final phase of “Hands and Hearts” initiative. Here\, this is aimed at assisting T. Mychael with critically needed financial support. Moreover\, this will get him up and over the remaining hurdles that stand between him and full recovery! \nA three-time Emmy Award-winning actor\, vocalist\, arts educator and community organizer\, T. Mychael Rambo is a long-standing Twin Cities arts community pillar. \nT. Mychael has made an indelible mark in the Twin Cities. Here\, he has performed principal roles at such theaters as the Guthrie\, Ordway Theatre\, Illusion Theatre\, and Mixed Blood. Also\, Park Square Theatre\, Ten Thousand Things\, Children’s Theatre and Minnesota Opera among others. His Penumbra Theatre credits alone include: Black Nativity\, Don’t Bother Me I Can’t Cope\, Dinah Was\, Last Minstrel Show\, Jitney\, Spunk\, Gem of the Ocean\, Ain’t Misbehavin\, Piano Lesson\, and Ballad of Emmett Till to name just a few. \nComposer\, arranger and jazz pianist Adi Yeshaya was born and raised in Israel. A graduate of Berklee College of Music\, Adi has been active as musician and educator for nearly four decades. He has arranged and orchestrated shows for many artists. These include Prince\, Whitney Houston\, Aretha Franklin\, Lena Horne and Burt Bacharach. Also\, Adi has arranged for the Swiss Jazzaar jazz festival and NBC’s The Voice. \nRecommended for fans of Stevie Wonder\, Peabo Bryson\, Marvin Gaye and Vanessa Williams.
