FB Max Weinberg

Max Weinberg’s Jukebox
August 17 | 7 & 9pm
Call 612.332.5299 or Click Here for Tickets
The driving rhythmic force propelling The E Street Band for 43 years, Max Weinberg is also known to millions of fans for his 17 year stint as the bandleader and comedic foil to talk show host Conan O’Brien, and is the only musician in history to make the leap from a starring role in one of the world’s iconic rock groups to leading his eponymous band on NBC’s “Late Night” and “The Tonight Show.”

A truly interactive experience, Weinberg invites the audience to create in real time the set list he and his crack four piece group will play that night. Performing songs from the glory days of rock and roll your guests get to choose from a video menu of over 200 songs- everything from the Beatles to the Stones to Bruce and The E Street Band’s biggest hits—and hear the group play ‘em the way they want to hear them played! That’s right—the crowd gets to yell out their choices and Max plays them! This unique approach is fun and satisfying.

FB Jambalaya

Henry Butler’s Jambalaya Band
September 1 | 7 & 9pm
Call 612.332.5299 or Click Here for Tickets
Once you’ve heard what bluesman Henry Butler’s hands can create on those ivories, there’s no going back. Those hands boogie that keyboard like no one else’s. Throw in a classically trained voice aching us through the blues, and you’re someplace you have never been before and would give anything to return to, again and again. Considered the premier exponent of the great New Orleans jazz and blues piano tradition, Butler is a ten-time Pinetop Perkins (formerly W. C. Handy) Best Blues Instrumentalist Award nominee. A rich amalgam of jazz, Caribbean, classical, pop, blues, and R&B, his music is as excitingly eclectic as that of his New Orleans birthplace.

His recording and film work has netted him 4 Grammy Awards, 6 Billboard Awards and an Emmy Award. The standard bearer for Latin music as well as trumpet playing, he has recently been seen on the Grammy Awards performing with pop star Justin Timberlake as well as on the Latin Billboard Awards with the gifted Alicia Keys, where he was awarded his 6th Billboard Award for “Best Latin Jazz Album”.

FB Joey Alexander

Joey Alexander Trio
October 15 | 6 & 8pm
Call 612.332.5299 or Click Here for Tickets
Born on June 25, 2003 on the island of Bali, pianist Joey Alexander originally learned about jazz from his dad, who exposed his son to a variety of classic albums from his extensive collection. Over the past two years Joey has been paying his dues and honing his craft: learning what it means to be a bandleader, keeping material fresh after repeated performances, and seeking out sidemen who are also collaborators. His live shows showcase Joey’s remarkable development as a contemporary jazz bandleader and promise as a composer. He develops fresh takes on well-known tunes, combining them seamlessly with his own original compositions in a way which invites both new and seasoned listeners in, and reflects the true emotional heart and soul of his musical personality.
