In his self-published 2024 memoir, “Revolución to Roxy‚” the U.K. guitarist likens himself to Forrest Gump because, after growing up in Cuba during the revolution due to his father’s job, he returned to his native London, befriended David Gilmour, joined Roxy Music, shared bills with Bob Dylan and found his guitar sampled by Kanye West and Jay-Z. Manzanera will perform and answer questions from Mary Lucia, the author and DJ known for her quirky interviews, in this inaugural event in this new space operated by the Dakota.
