Herb Alpert
The 91-year-old trumpeter is back with his re-formed Tijuana Brass to tell stories behind all those jazzy 1960s hits like “Lonely Bull” and “Spanish Flea” (theme song to TV’s “The Dating Game”). Of course, he’s got his lone vocal triumph, “This Guy’s in Love with You,” but it’s about his still sharp instrumental chops and the musicianship of his group, as well as video clips and tales of his heyday. Don’t forget he had a disco hit, “Rise,” in 1979 and a Janet Jackson collab, “Diamonds,” in ‘87.
