“Evingson conjures the spirit of the legendary singer-songwriter without falling into the easy trap of imitation.” – Jazz Times

In 1999, Connie Evingson recorded Fever: A Tribute to Peggy Lee. 23 years later, Evingson revisits the songbook of her fellow Midwesterner, lending her magnificent voice and nuanced phrasing to songs made famous by Lee. Peggy Lee, master of the understatement, loved singing the blues, and Evingson will pay particular attention to that part of her catalog.
