Lalah Hathaway is a five-time Grammy-winning singer/songwriter and producer and ten-time nominee. As undeniable music royalty and a thirty-year music industry veteran, Lalah’s music transcends genre. Her sound spans R&B ballads, pop standards, and soulful jazz. Lalah and Beyoncé are the only two artists to win Grammys for Best Traditional R&B Performance three times.

She has collaborated with today’s top hitmakers, including Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Anderson.Paak, Robert Glasper, Rapsody, Snoop Dogg and Esperanza Spalding. Moreover, she has shared the stage with music legends, from Prince to Stevie Wonder to Herbie Hancock. Recently, Berklee College of Music has also decorated her with an honorary doctorate. Billboard, VIBE, Essence, NPR and the New York Times have featured Lalah.

Her song “Show Me Your Soul,” from the hit documentary Mr. Soul! was featured on the Oscars 2021 shortlist for Best Original Song. In December 2022, she dropped the video for her new single “This Christmas”, a duet with her late father, Donny Hathaway, made from a previously unreleased version of his classic Christmas anthem.

“Legacy: Lalah Hathaway sings Donny Hathaway” is an orchestral tribute to her father’s work. Vince Mendoza arranged and conducted. It debuted in New York in 2019 at the Lincoln Center’s Out of Doors summer concert series. This show marked the first time Lalah dedicated the entire performance to her father Donny’s repertoire. The Legacy show also toured in Holland in 2021 with the Metropole Orkest. Also, the show toured Australia and New Zealand in October 2022. The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and New Zealand Symphony Orchestra performed.

Lalah Hathaway’s long-awaited next original solo project will be released in 2024. It will be her first original project since the release of her Grammy-nominated album Honestly in 2018.
