Cowboy Junkies and Lou Reed

Cowboy Junkies’ Mike Timmins posted memories of Lou Reed on the day of Lou’s passing.  Cowboy Junkies’ recording of “Sweet Jane” was their way to thank Uncle Lou for his pervasive presence in American music.  A record exec passed a cut of “Sweet Jane” to Lou who gave it a “thumbs up, ” and Cowboy Junkies could have ended their music career happy.   Read the entire October 27th  post from the Cowboy Junkies, and come to the Dakota for a 9 pm show on the 29th or 30th and go ahead and request “Sweet Jane.”
