Mohini Dey, Ben Sidran, Grace Kelly, Spyro Gyra Featured in Star Tribune

She was a saxophone prodigy who self-released a debut album at age 12, graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music at 19 and won DownBeat’s critics’ poll for Rising Star – Alto Saxophone at 24. That was 10 years ago. A singer and songwriter, Kelly has released 15 albums, toured in 35 countries and played with Lin-Manuel Miranda, Dave Brubeck, Phil Woods, Huey Lewis, Harry Connick Jr., Gloria Estefan, Questlove, Wynton Marsalis and Jon Batiste and Stay Human on the Stephen Colbert show. She won “Song of the Year” in the 2018 John Lennon Songwriting Contest for “Feels Like Home.” Her latest album, 2024’s “Grace Kelly with Strings: At the Movies,” showcases her technique and expressiveness as a saxophonist and singer.
