The Dakota is one of the most unique events spaces in the Twin Cities. Its multi-level design allows for multiple group spaces with varied views of the stage and levels of privacy.
“I remember going to shows with (my dad) at the Bandana Square location, most memorable probably being Harry Connick, Jr. My son began drumming at a very early age, so we took him to see Steve Smith in 2015 which was incredibly inspiring to him. Several years later, my husband and I got to see our son play on the Dakota stage when he was a member of the Dakota Combo. Sadly, my dad had passed away by then, but I imagine that he was looking down from above watching his favorite grandson play his favorite style of music at his favorite venue – the Dakota.”
