The first recipient of this initiative was Regina Marie Williams back in 2023. Now, the recipient is T. Mychael Rambo – a three-time Emmy award winner, beloved actor and singer who has touched the hearts of audiences across the vast metropolitan area for years. Moreover, he is a regular performer at the Dakota who also has graced stages like the Guthrie, Penumbra, Ordway, and many more.

Recently, T. Mychael suffered a temporary health setback that has rendered him unable to work. Additionally, this includes regular performances that he has been involved in for years.

Known as a “man of great musical imagination,” Bruce Henry is an internationally-known vocalist, composer, storyteller, recording artist and educator. Additionally, Bruce teaches musical history, traditions and culture as he entertains and enraptures audiences with his vocal agility. Anchored in Chicago, with roots in the Twin Cities, Bruce shares his expertise and creativity across the nation and overseas.

Recommended for fans of Al Jarreau, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin.
