A longtime featured vocalist with the Grammy-winning Sounds of Blackness, Geoff Jones has performed worldwide. The husband-and-wife team Nancy and Jim Bierma have been playing as a duo for decades. They are in the Des Moines (Iowa) Jazz Hall of Fame. Bobby Commodore is an accomplished drummer, and he’s played with countless combos and ensembles for over 40 years. He is currently the music director for the Ginger Commodore Quartet (GCQ).

Geoff Jones is a singer who blends jazz, soul, and gospel stylings, all wrapped in an engagingly warm baritone. As a veteran member of the Grammy Award-winning music ensemble Sounds of Blackness, Geoff has crisscrossed the globe. They performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Olympic Games, and the (Soccer) World Cup. They have appeared on The Tonight Show, Soul Train, Showtime at the Apollo, NAACP Image Awards, and other high-profile appearances. Geoff has worked with Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Elton John, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Bebe Winans, and Joe Sample. He has performed with Nnenna Freelon, Jackie McLean, the Heath Brothers, and numerous others.

Geoff is co-founder, songwriter, director and vocalist with the Men of New Hope vocal ensemble, and co-produced their well-received EP, Been So Good. Prior to that Geoff co-founded, directed and performed with the male a cappella quintet Spirit V, opening for Tracy Chapman, Gil Scott-Heron, Pearl Bailey, Grover Washington, Jr. and many others.
