Maruja Limón is a female sextet from Barcelona known for their vibrant music that blends flamenco, pop, and Latin rhythms. They formed in 2014, and the group composes and arranges their own songs. Moreover, they have performed at festivals and venues across Europe, Morocco, and Spain, including Festival Cruilla and Pirineos Sur.
On their 2024 EP Te Como La Cara, they explore Catalan, flamenco, and Latin rumba. Then, they fuse those traditional forms with experimental electronic sounds, dembow, salsa, and pop. Thus, they deliver explosive music with lyrics that balance sensitivity and irony.
They gained recognition in Billboard’s On the Radar Latin section after their debut in the Latin Alternative Music Conference. Maruja Limón made their first U.S. tour In January 2025, captivating audiences and filling venues. For example, they played Lincoln Center in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington, and made a splash in Philadelphia. There, their energy and unique sound left a lasting impression.
