B.B. King was one of the most influential blues musicians of all time. There, he was celebrated for his soulful voice, expressive guitar playing, and unmistakable sound on his beloved guitar, “Lucille.” Born Riley B. King in Mississippi in 1925, he rose from the Delta blues tradition to become an international icon. Moreover, he inspired generations of blues, rock, and soul musicians.
Over a career spanning more than six decades, King earned fifteen Grammy Awards. Additionally, he recorded enduring classics including “The Thrill Is Gone”, “Every Day I Have the Blues”, and “Sweet Little Angel”. Known worldwide as the “King of the Blues,” B.B. King’s extraordinary music and legacy continue to influence artists and audiences around the world.
