Two-time Latin Grammy-winner Antonio Rey (Spain) is widely regarded as one of the top flamenco guitarists of his generation. He is lauded for his stunning virtuosity, impeccable tone, and his lush and soulful compositions. Also, he has won many of Spain’s most prestigious guitar competitions and received numerous awards. For example, Spain’s National Guitar Award, shared by the likes of Paco de Lucia and Vicente Amigo.
His 2024 album Historias de un Flamenco won the Latin Grammy for Best Flamenco Album, and was also nominated for a 2025 Grammy. Additionally, he won the 2020 Latin Grammy for his album Flamenco Sin Fronteras.
Antonio regularly tours major theaters, concert halls and festivals around the world. This includes recent homage concerts to Paco de Lucia in Carnegie Hall and Madrid’s Teatro Real. Here, he appeared both as a featured soloist and with Al di Meola along with de Lucia’s nephew Antonio Sanchez.
He has performed with top flamenco legends including maestro Paco de Lucia himself, dancers Farruquito and Antonio Canales. Also, international artists such as Alejandro Sanz, Pablo Alboran and jazz greats including Richard Bona and Al di Meola.
